GabrielSoft - How to add a Page Image

Some eCatholic free themes allow you to add a Page Image at the top of any interior page (i.e., any page except the homepage). You can either:

  • Add a default site-wide Page Image to appear on all your site's interior pages.
  • Add a Page Image on specific pages.

Add a default site-wide Page Image

Adding a default Page Image allows the image to appear in the header of all your site's interior pages. To add a default Page Image:

  1. Click the Header Settings icon to open the Header Settings dialog (located on the left edge of your site's header region). Then, make sure Page Image is enabled.

  2. Under Default Interior Page Image, click Add Image.

  3. Select the File Source for your image.
    1. Upload - Select an image file from your computer's hard drive
    2. Site Files - Select an image that has already been uploaded to your eCatholic website's File Manager
    3. Stock Photos - Select an image from the eCatholic Stock Photos library*
( *This option will only appear if you have an eCatholic Stock Photos subscription.)

  4. Upload and crop your image. Once finished, be sure to Save your changes and Publish your new header by clicking the green checkmark icon beneath the Header Settings button.

Add a Page Image to a specific page

Adding a Page Image to a specific page on your website will override the Default Page Image (if set). To access this option, complete the following steps:

  1. Access your site's Header Settings, then make sure Page Image is enabled for Interior Pages.
  2. Then, navigate to the page to which you'd like to add a Page Image and click on the Page Settings icon (next to the Add Content button).

  3. Once the Page Settings dialog appears, click into the Advanced tab, which is where you will find the Add Image option.

  5. Upload and crop a photo, then Save your changes and Publish the page for the new Page Image to appear!
